Getting your documents on file
Your store uses ClearLane to keep your driver paperwork current. It takes about two minutes on your phone — here's exactly what you'll do.
Have these ready
- • Your driver's license
- • Your current auto-insurance card
- • A few minutes and decent light for photos
Open your link
Your manager sends you a text or email with a secure link. Tap it on your phone — it opens your personal onboarding page. No password, no app to download.
Confirm your email
First you'll confirm the email where we send renewal reminders — so you get a heads-up before your insurance lapses. Check it's right and tap Save.
Photograph your driver's license
Tap Take photo to use your camera, or Choose from gallery to pick one you already have. Get the whole front of the card, flat and in focus. When it's accepted, the step turns green.
Photograph your insurance card
Same idea for your current auto-insurance ID card. ClearLane reads the expiration automatically — if the card is already expired, it's turned down on the spot, so make sure you're using your latest one.
Sign the MVR authorization
The last step is a short form that lets your store check your driving record. You'll fill in a few details, answer two quick questions, and sign.
Save typing — autofill from your license
Tap Autofill from my license and ClearLane fills in your license number, state, expiration, and date of birth from your photo. Look them over, then tap Use these. You can still edit anything by hand.
Draw your signature
Read the agreement, check the box to confirm it's truthful, then sign in the box with your finger and type your full name. Tap Sign & submit — and you're done.
Have a paper form instead?
Some states require a hand-signed paper form. If yours does, you'll see a Download the form button — print it, sign it in ink, and upload a photo. You can also choose this if you already signed a paper copy. Either way counts.
You're done
When all three steps are green, you'll see a confirmation and you can close the page. Your store reviews what you submitted and takes it from there — no further action needed from you.
